MISSION STATEMENT

Delta House, Inc. is a community based non-profit organization whose volunteers are dedicated to improving lives of individuals living in the Midlands.

GOAL

To provide charitable opportunities, and engage in educational and public service projects for the Midlands community.

 

 

OBJECTIVES

• To engage in a public service project that will benefit individuals or communities of the Midlands.

• To identify funding sources for Delta House, Inc.

• To sponsor educational opportunities, public services, and social initiatives that will benefit current and future generations of the Midlands.

DELTA HOUSE ACTIVITIES

Financial Literacy Boot Camp. The Financial Literacy Boot Camp for middle school students in grades six, seven, and eight provides an opportunity for students to increase their financial knowledge.

​

Senior Citizens Initiative.  Delta House, Inc. sponsors workshops that address areas of interest to senior citizens of the Midlands. Topics presented are determined by the needs of the community served.

 

Signature Service Project. Rapid Shelter Columbia Sponsorship.  Delta House, Inc. adopted Rapid Shelter Columbia as its signature annual project, sponsoring two (2) Pallets for women. RSC encompasses 50 Pallet shelters and the former Inclement Weather Center (IWC), now known as the Rapid Shelter Overflow. There are a total of 50 (40 for men, 10 for women) single occupancy Pallet shelters on the Rapid Shelter Columbia Campus. Rapid Shelter Columbia serves single men and women, 18 years of age and older who are chronically homeless. Rapid Shelter Columbia is located at 191 Calhoun Street
